LIFESTYLE: The Anatabloc Logs, Week 1

Some of you may or may not be aware that I have Crohn's Disease. I like to blame my crazy, stressful career for it, and in particular, some of the mentally abusive ad agencies I have been at in my past. I was diagnosed in 1997, and I have been on steroids and on Mesalamine to keep it under raps. But as all chronic conditions go, they all eventually worsen over time. Though I have been luckier than most, my disease seems to be getting a little worse the past few years. What is odd, is that I feel fine. My doctor and I have been at odds as far as going on auto-immune suppressants. I guess I want to wait until I really am feeling worse, and she is saying that I am gambling, which I know I kind of am. But these new drugs are powerful and weaken your immune system. My friend passed away two years ago by getting Lymphoma after being on one of them for RA. These drugs have a long list of side affects.

Well, I had said goodbye to my last refill of Mesalamine, and needed to get my blood work done to start the autoimmune suppressants last week. But my husband had been chirping in my ear for a while about this new anti-inflammatory supplement on the market called Anatabloc. He follows the stock market and had read about the company that makes it, and all the studies and trials that are out there for inflammatory diseases. After an MS study they ran, he urged me to read up and give Anatabloc a try before making the jump to the stronger drugs. After doing research online, I felt it was all too good to be true. It was as if the angels heard my prayers and answered my faith that in my lifetime, medicine was going to figure out how to help some of these diseases we suffer. People with a variety of inflammatory diseases such as Rosacea, RA, Crohn's, joint pain, and MS had posted that this stuff is amazing and was helping many of them manage their disease better. What did I have to lose? My colon, but hey, that was in the cards anyway.

Anatabloc comes from the tobacco plant, ironically. I won't get into what it does or how it is made. Here is the link to the site, and you can do some research on your own. From what I have read, it seems safe to use, and you can buy it at GNC.

So my husband and I started a minimum dose 7 days ago. I hope to do a log on how I feel and the interactions with it over the next 6-8 weeks and see how I am feeling. So you can follow my "log" to see if maybe it might be something that can work for you, too. I have ulterior motives for the log. I want doctors to see how and if it is working, including my own. I know she will be skeptical if I ask her about it off the bat. So I am just going for it. Then we can get a GI done and see if there is improvement or not. If not, then I will suck it up and go to the stronger drugs.

Wish me luck!

Week 1, Anatabloc Log

The day we started, my Crohn's was misbehaving. I was having a little stomach pain and went to the bathroom 4 times in a day. They were not happy visits. I also was suffering from my allergies with sinus pressure and left ear pain. I also had lower back pain the whole previous week from carrying the laundry basket funny.

I end this week very surprised an encouraged. Surprised because everything I read said you will not notice much until 30 days on Anatabloc. I have to say, the past two days I have had no stomach pain at all, and each of those days day I had 2 NORMAL stops to the bathroom. And when I mean normal, I mean normal. I got too ahead of myself and ate a huge bowl of no sugar added ice cream, last night. This was a bad idea, because I had a minor flare up this morning. So I upped my dosage to two lozenges this morning, and all is quiet in my tummy since.

My back pain disappeared after two days. My sinuses were super clear after three with no more ear pain. I had a slight headache the first 4 days on it. But that seems to have stopped. I also have to say that my mind seems "clearer". It's hard to explain, but I have a lot more energy and my brain thinks quicker.

My husband reports that shockingly, his near eyesight has improved. His head is clearer. He has a lot more energy and he feels that his mind is sharper. And it has helped him quit smoking, which my husband said was what the supplement was originally for!

Miracle Supplement? Time will tell. We will keep plugging along. Other than today for me, we have only been taking 1 lozenge 3 times a day. I may increase mine, but we'll see.

  1. Anatabloc recommends two pills, three times a day. The sinuses are the first thing I recognized, knee pain was next; running three miles a day now with no pain. I got some for my mom who is seventy-two and her R/A in her hands is gone and this year she had no issues with her allergies. She is shedding her prescibed medicine left and right and happier for it.

I've been on it since it became available and have had NO side effects.

    1. You can always try the unflavored version if you are buying from Rock Creek direct and I heard GNC now has the unflavored available too. It may help with the headaches as everybody cannot handle the artificial sweetener in the product. Good luck to you

  2. Wow , I am a huge supporter of Anatabloc since I started taking 3 lozenges 4 x's a day for allergy , knee and joint pain almost 7 months ago ,,, I am able to walk pain free , play tennis , swim for hours and have not sneezed from pollen all summer .. I know if you stick with Anatabloc it will help alleviate your discomfort and running to the lou .. cheers oh I noticed my attitude is bright and positive along with a renewed feeling of happiness ... i dunno ,but it sure seems like anatabloc fine tuned my 55 year old clock ...

  3. The following was a comment today that google accidently deleted, so I am copying it from my inbox to add to the conversation!
"Very interesting to hear your story and wish you the best results. Though why would you not start with the recommended dosage especially since you're trying to cure a condition known to respond favorably to Anatabloc. Just so you know I have been taking 6 a day since last September w/o side effects. I have had my blood analyzed twice , one I paid for was a complete screening of just about everything you can think of and more and both time the results have been stellar." Anonymoud

  4. (Part 1)

May I add (in two or more parts) the following information that may be of interest to you? I have been studying the anatabine story since its beginning, and in one respect helped report/"discover" its anti-inflammatory effect (as did a number of others).

I posted the following (plus a lot more) in another forum ... this was update #5 in a series. By the way, nearly all report that Anatabloc "takes a while" only in helping with aches/pain/inflammation in large/complex joint problems (hip, back, etc.). Sinusitis is within hours, usually, asthma a day, and so on.

The Crohn's patient I detail had results starting within 24 hours. She had one moderate flareup two weeks in (Oct 2011). She has been "just fine" ever since, she reports ... on two to three Anatabloc a day. At my suggestion she upped dose to three on European trip ... and, addendum, that went without a hitch she reports.

Her doctor has cancelled her colonoscopies, etc. I wish they'd take a look to see just how much change has taken place.

Can you imagine having to start with this horror a girl at age 14?

(A man,) One of the things I like best about anatabine/Anatabloc is that women suffer these and other autoimmune diseases at ratios from 3 to ten or more time than do men (though I'm one of the very unlucky ones), and AT LAST here is something that can be done about it!

In particular for you I want to post a reply I got. MY VERY BEST WISHES TO/FOR YOU!

    A Crohn's Tale ... Another Happy Update 18-Mar-12 07:08 am

Those of you who have been around since last fall have seen my reports of a case of Crohn's in a young lady, senior in high school this year. I heard last September that she was facing "trial by hospital" all this year, having bits of her body ... and her life ... systematically removed ... probably time after time.

I got her Anatabloc to try and, who would believe it, her doctor approved her trying it ... they had tried everything else and she just kept getting worse. (She obviously had an extremely aggressive case ... only one in 10 get it before 18, and she had had it since age 14.)

So, instead, a young lady who was about to have her senior high school year ... this year ... totally controlled and ruined due to Crohn's, by having to spend it having parts of her colon removed and wearing a colostomy bag (if indeed she had been able to stay in school at all), is, at this very moment, off on a week-long trip to Europe, instead, with her drill team, to participate in a festival.

This is something that would have been impossible but for one thing and one thing only ("medicine" had already tried everything else): Anatabloc. Two a day. Starting last October.(They did up it to three a day for the trip, re my concerns that all the stress would really test things). A dollar a day has saved $10s of 1000s ... and HER LIFE.

As all of you know from my telling of the story, with updates (who've been here that long), I got the Anatabloc for her to try as a last resort. For a WONDERFUL change, her doctor agreed ... "why not give it a try?" Wow ... what if he hadn't approved (like so many are not).

Virtually no problems since she started taking it (one mild exacerbation two weeks in). She is living the life of a happy, care-free teen, as she should be. Anatabloc.

Without it she would be a hospital junky now, the illness draining her family's resources and narrowing down the possibilities for any kind of normalcy in life to an alleyway ... or less. All who know (personally) about it speak of it as if a miracle. I'm OK with that.

I had been meaning to update this story here, this week (as she is enjoying her freedom abroad), so there it is. Seven months of life after four years of increasing hell. It gives me comfort all day every day. And there are sooo MANY such stories to be made.

Our daughter has been using Anatabloc for 2 months and we have reduced her Crohns flare up's by 80 -85% and if we had listened to our family friend earlier and not our doctor Shannon would be on her 6th month of decreased flare up's ..

The drs still insist that a over the counter supplement is not advisable and may cause harm to Shannons system .. Danny and I say nuts and our girl is leading a much much better life each and every day thanks to anatabloc
